Looking for a distillery with a cool patio and tasty craft cocktail? Well, look no further. Hollow Spirits in Wells Park is the place to be. With the heat ramping up, their drinks will surely cool you down. Their enticing menu, created by Chef Tristin Rodgers, will surely invite all foodies inside for a bite to eat. And besides the food and drink, the hip and cool environment welcomes people from all paths of life.
I would like to consider myself a regular at the distillery. They consistently roll out different, exciting menu specials every week. But most importantly, owners Frank Holloway and his team of distillers are always experimenting with different ingredients to make the next big item. One of my favorite new liquors they’ve produced is their pickle juice vodka ($25 a bottle). We’ve seen pickle-flavored drinks and food options rise in popularity, and Hollow saw the opportunity to make their own. It’s a must-try. Even if you’re not down with pickled anything, it’s still worth a shot.
Alongside their experimental drink menu, their food has a reputation around town that helps pack the place. Their menu revolves around the seasons—which, in my opinion, reflects on the fresh and innovative ways an eatery approaches its culinary vision. For summertime Hollow features a menu with a lot of zest and flair. One of the entrees that caught my eye was the Duck 3 Ways Pasta ($28). Everyone in my party looked at me crazy, but the juice exuding from the meat, paired with the egg yolk pasta, was to die for. I highly recommend a stab at the dish.
Hollow is always throwing on cool events. In the past, they’ve hosted music, bar shows and even fitness events. So get vaxxed and head over to enjoy a summer good time.
